Driving the Car Level 1 1/2 Mile
The Golf is a pretty standard drive, although this tuning set can be a bit volatile if you like to go for perfect shifts. You can choose to hold the gas all the way down at the start, or you can go for a more subtle approach by trying to even out at about 5 or 6 on the RPMs. You can actually avoid touching the gas pedal at all to start and still come out with a decent time on the 1/2 mile, but I would recommend giving it some sort of juice.
  • If you DO decide to hold down the gas pedal, don't switch straight into second gear. Let the engine run red for a couple of seconds and try to feel it out for the up-shift.
  • You'll want to target perfect shifts for every gear, but it isn't easy to do. shifting to 5th gear will present only a green, no blue so you've got to act quickly.
